Pain shouts, and sadness whispers. They’re both cries for help. A shout is pain talking all over sadness. You can’t take away pain, but its amazing how loudly compassion speaks to sadness, while shouting back just aggravates a wound. As Zig Ziglar said, “Every obnoxious act is a cry for help.” So raise the tone by lowering your voice, and speak with kindness to sadness.
