The best legacy a parent can leave is self acceptance. Teach your sons that size and speed may matter, but depth matters even more. Remind them that they are accepted just as they are. Teach your daughters that diversity is beautiful and beauty is diverse and that they are beautiful and completely accepted just as they are.

Such an important thing to teach our children – that they are beautiful just the way they are. To feel like you don’t fit the definition of attractive or beautiful is one of those things that can be a struggle in life. If we instill it in them young, it is a life lesson that will serve them well when they are older. Great post!
