which wolf

A Cherokee chief told his grandson, “My boy, the battle is between two wolves.  One is destructive–it is anger, envy, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, lies, and hatred.

The other is life affirming.  It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked, “Grandfather, which wolf wins?”

The old man replied, “The one you feed.”
