water rock

Lao Tzu said, “Water is fluid, soft and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and unyielding.” Compassion is like water; gentle and always changing and yet it will patiently erode the hardest heart. This is the greatest paradox: the gentlest virtue is the strongest force. Compassion is patient, persistent strength.
