Please i need a profound or in depth explanation of  ‘ to add is knowledge and to remove is wisdom . Thank you.

  2. ian says:

Adding is information. Removing is to remove assumption and prejudice. This is wisdom and its different to knowledge.

  3. Like most Lao Tzu quotes you could write a chapter or book just on the one quote.   So here’s my first take…… “To grow our knowledge is fine however at some point we get information overload and can’t use it all.  To remove the clutter of what is not important or irrelevant leaves us with what is important and that is wisdom.  Our society has put way to much priority into “knowledge” and not nearly enough into wisdom.”If you like this type of thought provoking quote I may suggest getting the book Change Your Mind, Change Your Life by Wayne Dyer  his interpretation of the book of Tao. Victor Sinclair, FounderPositive Imperative / Positive Music Imperative
