row fog

Remember that you are strong because you’ve struggled with despair, wise because you’ve wrestled with confusion and fearless because you’ve faced your fear. You can’t avoid pain, but you can build character from crisis and wisdom from wounds. Don’t run from struggle, push through it and the fog of fear will lift.

I love the idea of this quote, but have a different thought about fearlessness.I think there is really no such thing. All of us have things which bring up fear. I would change it too…and courageous because you have faced your fear.  You don’t need courage unless you  are afraid.  Courage is wisdom. fearless is very often, if not always,  foolish.

I tend to agree with M.     I prefer the word courageous to fearless. Ian, your wisdom and ability to express so eloquently from the heart,  right from the time we first met at St Matthew in the City in Auckland all those years ago, have deeply moved me.    You were a tower of strength to me then, and still are.     I so look forward to seeing you, Meg and the children back in Australia.

  3. Bipin says:

FEARLESSNESS is First divine virtue. You succeed in life with it. If you keep thinking then fear will appear for sure because it is instilled in subconscious mind. Trust in Self & in divine will make you FEARLESS.
